DR. LAUREN DANIELS, AU.D.

Audiologist

Meet DR. LAUREN DANIELS, AU.D.

A proud UT alumna, Dr. Lauren Daniels earned both her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Doctor of Audiology from The University of Texas at Austin.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Daniels conducted research on auditory neuroscience and brain plasticity in both typical and clinical adult populations, including individuals with hearing loss, tinnitus, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her work explored cross-modal reorganization in the brain, uncovering relationships between visual cortical activity and tinnitus severity, and examined central auditory inhibition by analyzing how different sound frequencies influence auditory gating responses. Dr. Daniels’ research experience includes advanced EEG analysis using EEGLAB and MATLAB, comprehensive audiometric and tinnitus evaluations, and a broad foundation in electrophysiological measures of hearing.

Dr. Daniels’ professional interests include comprehensive diagnostic audiology, tinnitus management, hearing aid technology and fitting, and cochlear implants. She is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with the people and activities they love by improving access to sound. Dr. Daniels is licensed by the State of Texas and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of clinical practice.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Daniels enjoys walking her labradoodle, Murphy, and spending time with family and friends while exploring new places. She approaches every patient with compassion and believes strongly in empowering individuals through education, support, and personalized hearing care.
